I’m always looking for ways to save time. As a family time management and home organization expert, maxing productivity for busy Moms is what I do. But when it comes to summer beauty, I am often tempted to cut things out in order to save time that ultimately can have a negative effect. For example, I apply face lotion every morning but wouldn’t always remember to apply sunscreen later in the day while out and about. I would blame it on not liking the pungent sunscreen smell often found in face lotions with sunscreen. Thanks to advances in cosmetic production, I’ve been able to find one with SPF 20 that I can tolerate. Progress.
Ways to save time in the morning is a constant conversation among Moms. When it comes to our own morning activities, its often a flurry of personal chaos while we try to calmly get our families (herd cats) out the door. Stumbling over a closet covered in unworn clothes not chosen for the day or clean clothes that haven’t found their way to a hanger. Digging in our drawers for that perfect shirt or hunting through the shelves for a must have hat or accessory to complete the look. How ironic it can be that while we work hard to teach our kids to lay out their outfits the night before, down to the tiniest detail, to save time in the morning, but we find it so hard to do for ourselves.
This summer, Vaseline Spray® & Go Moisturizer has unveiled a fabulous media campaign challenging women to shave minutes off their self care thanks to a brand new spray technology. The ad campaign shows a woman named Emma going from applying lotion to completely dressed and out the door in just 10 seconds. Yes…you read that right…just 10 seconds. Check out the behind scenes video to see how she does it!
Want the inside scoop on how they really did it? Emma is a dancer from London. She trained as an acrobat as a child then switched to modern dance. She wasn’t able to do the dress zip trick successfully until our very last take of the shoot. She was able to do every spot in one single take. Hardest trick: pulling on tights while doing a back somersault across a bed. Surprisingly easy trick: back walkover into a pair of heels (well, easy for Emma). The sweater and jacket she puts on in the jeans spot were her own. She looked so cute when she showed up at rehearsals that we worked them into the routine. Our one “cheat”: the buttons were backed with magnets.
Bottom line on ways to save time in the morning? Starts with planning ahead the night before. Laying out those outfits just like you encourage your children to, taking a look at your to do list and schedule for the next day, and packing up anything else you and your family might need like lunch, activity bags, your briefcase or more. When morning comes, you can rise and shine knowing you have plenty of time to take care of you first. Product innovations like New Vaseline Spray® & Go Moisturizer make that possible AND fast. I love all things cocoa butter so my personal favorite in the line has to be Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer Cocoa Radiant™. With pure cocoa butter it leaves my skin feeling healthy and glowing while it absorbs instantly enabling me to get dressed right after moisturizing.
Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer is a quick, continuous 360° spray lotion that moisturizes deeply and absorbs in seconds, so you can put your clothes right on and get on with your day!
