Unexpected Airport Amenities

This week I’ll be traveling to BlogHer 2012 where I’ll join almost 5000 women looking to hone their graft, grow their business, and spend time with their friends.  I’ll be flying and based on how things usually go, I don’t expect any issues at all.  Just last week, I was actually delayed by three hours at my home town airport, RDU International. This hardly ever happens here, so when it comes to travel, I LOVE living in the Raleigh area ~ its a breeze to fly in and out of and our airport is newly renovated, clean, and the people who work and travel here are simply friendly ~ and that’s huge in my book. So when I found myself with nothing but time, I decided to make a video to let you know why being stuck in Raleigh is more entertaining than you might think.  Here are my thoughts about how to make the most of your airport amenities when stuck for a delay:

So there you are. From getting a shoulder or foot massage and pedicure to visiting (napping in) the Meditation room, sending someone special flowers, or writing handwritten notes and sending them via USPS from the airport, there is plenty to do if you want to. So tell me…

What do you do when you are stuck at the airport with hours on end?

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ we’ll see you next time!

Great points Molly – I also live by the airport (Charlotte International) so I can always drive back home. Another fun this to do is visit people. My husband works at the airport so sometimes we get to visit some of the “insiders” which is always fun. Shopping at the jewelry stores is high on my list and if you only have just an hour or so, people watching is very entertaining! Airport attire has a class all it own :-)

As a Realtor® my office can be located anywhere… got the phone, wireless internet service and a Starbucks and I am good to go! Watching people can be quite interesting. Eating works well too… :-)

    Hi to Donna Frasca above!
