Treat it Forward with Wendy’s on Father’s Day

Father’s Day weekend is here and for children in foster care who do not have permanent loving homes, it must be a very visible reminder of what is missing in their precious lives.  Dave Thomas, Founder of Wendy’s, spent his life advocating on behalf of childhood adoption and now through Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, you can make a difference too!

1. Stop in and enjoy! Simply stop into any participating Wendy’s nationwide on Saturday, June 16 or Sunday June 17 and purchase your Frosty product of choice (twist my arm!).  For each Frosty product purchased, participating Wendy’s will donate 50-cents to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. (includes the original, parfaits, shakes and floats).

2. Go Mobile! For each customer who “checks-in” using Wendy’s special mobile friendly website,  Wendy’s will donate 50-cents.

3. Spread the Word!  Now through Father’s Day re-tweet one of @Wendys Twitter posts using hashtag #TreatItForward and Wendy’s will donate 50 cents.

So why does this matter?  By taking any of these simple steps, you can help Wendy’s make a bit donation to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, the signature program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption that is dedicated to finding permanent adoptive families for children in foster care. They want to beat last year’s $1.4 million donation! Let’s help them get there!

Just to make it fun, we’ve got an EASY entry giveaway for a $10 Wendy’s Gift Card!

How to Enter: NOTE ~ Please do not leave your email in your comments.

1.  Leave a comment below telling me how you celebrate Father’s Day.

Winners will be chosen by random drawing “And the Winner Is”.  Winner will be notified by email within 24 hours. Contest is open 8:00 am June 15, 2012 to 8:00 am June 18, 2012 US Residents only.  GOOD LUCK!

Disclosure:  Special thanks to Wendys and The Motherhood for reaching out to me to share about Wendy’s Wonderful Kids and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.  I received gift Wendy’s gift cards for myself and the giveaway.  We can’t wait to use ours this weekend!  As always, my opinions are entirely my own.
