The WAHM Summer Juggle ~ Time Saving Tips for Every Day

Today I’m sharing just a few time saving tips that I’ve discovered are really working for me when it comes to the Summer Juggle. When you work at home and you have the kids home its crazy because you never know exactly what might happened when it comes to wanting to indulge in that spur of the moment fun and be impulsive but knowing that you have a task list of things that you truly do need to do. So here are three things I have found that have really made the difference in my summer.

Daily Laundry

This is so easy in my house because I have a swimmer and we have buckets of towels all the time. I also have a baseball player playing 4-5 times a week and a tennis player whose playing about the same. However beyond gym clothes there are other things that need to be washed such as linens and things. If you do a load every night and swap it in the dryer first thing each morning you’ll find you never need that big catch up day that has you stuck at home and folding for hours.

Workout Early

I find that I’m much freer mentally and physically for my children to get them where they need to be and to engage and give them 100% of my focus if I make sure to take care of me. Rather than try to fit myself in later in the day around many of the required sports activities that we have, I just get up early, get that workout in and I am gold girl! Its all done and I’m one my way (and I’m actually a whole lot nicer too!)

Online Bill Pay

Its all about online bill pay! If I write my checks by hand, it can take me an hour to get it all organized, who knows! Between writing them, stamping them, addressing, and mailing them…and making it to the mailbox before the mail man comes to pick them up. If you use online bill pay with an online service or your bank, you can just click and go, and be back to doing what matters most!

So these are the 3 areas that I’ve found make a huge difference this summer in saving me time so that I can be fully present where I need to be and when I need to be. I’d love to know

What are your best time saving tips for the summer?

Love these tips! I also add use a standard grocery list and grocery shop on a certain day each week, hopefully when someone else can cover your kids. It’s easier to have snacks and food in the house since everyone is home.
