When it comes to the Thanksgiving, opening our home for friends and family is what my hostess loving heart was made for. Growing up in a large extended family, I have such fond memories of traveling to my Grandma’s tiny house bursting at the seams with relatives I couldn’t wait to see. Even though my own family is spread out across the country, I decided long ago that our Thanksgiving celebrations would be full of tradition, including friends and family as often as we can. And for me, part of that tradition is setting a beautiful Thanksgiving tablescape. Thanks to Proflowers, this year has to be my favorite setting yet.
Because I love a beautiful table, I’m always on the lookout for fresh Thankgsiving tablescape ideas that will set the tone for an elegant, friendly, and memorable day. Its no surprise that I love classic, traditional looks and I often choose to group things in odd numbers. I’m drawn to roses in their simplest form, no additional greenery or flowers needed. They make the ultimate statement in for elegance and can be dressed up or down depending on how you use them. When I spied this Autumn Rose bouquet, I fell in love with the rich colors because they give you a hint of fall thanks to the orange and yellow but keep their classic beauty in the deep greenery and beautiful, classic holiday red.
Elegant china speaks for itself, letting everyone know just how special your gathering is thanks to its beauty and design. Because I love to let my china shine, I choose a simple white napkin with a decorative ring to tie in the colors of the Thanksgiving tablescape even when they might not be an exact match the the plate. These simple fall colored gem adorned napkin rings give just the right touch of color.
I’ll confess I’m drawn to a hint of glitter, loving how it can make something simple take on an entirely new look. Wanting to unify the 3 individual square glass vases by placing them on a simple gold tray, I added just a hint of multi-color glitter berry garland and 10 white votives, understated and all things elegance thanks to the warm glow they add to the table.
To take my Thanksgiving tablescape just one finishing touch further, I always tie in a variation of my centerpiece to my serving table. Notice I chose just one Autumn Rose bouquet in its square vase but added two white chunky pillar candles and use the same sparkling glitter berry garland to connect each component together much like a single floral table spray would be. That way no matter where you are in the room, you’ve got that same beautiful look to catch your eye.
