Daylight savings means Spring forward and Fall back. This weekend we get to Spring forward and its my favorite of the daylight savings opportunities because of the extra hour. Even though in the Spring, you don’t actually get that extra hour, you actually lose an hour, but its that hour of sunshine that I want all day long. Here are my three tips to help you remember Spring Daylight Savings.
Set Your Clocks Ahead
Do this at dinner time on Saturday night. Thanks to the late night news, you are always reminded to do this at bedtime. But let’s be honest, half the time you might fall asleep on the couch or simply forget. You won’t remember to set all the clocks you need to all over the house so even when you try, you still have clocks wrong.
Workout Late Afternoon
Get your energy going and get that energy out. This way you’ll make sure you’ll be tired and ready to fall asleep by wearing yourself. Since its a weekend you should have the flexibility to get this workout in if its not your normal time.
Go to Bed Early
If you remember to set your clock ahead at dinner time, you will naturally go to bed an hour earlier. Its sneaky and it works so trust me on this if you don’t want to be late for church.
If you do these three things, you will better adjust and come Monday, you should be in a bit of a groove. For extra credit remember to check your batteries in your smoke detectors along with checking your exterior lights on your home for bulbs that may be out in places you don’t normally see. I hope these tips help you actually enjoy Spring Daylight Savings this year. Tell me…
How do you make sure you don’t forget setting the clocks?
