Today it’s all about time. Yes time ~ that four letter word because when you can’t find it you are desperate for ways to create that 25th hour. And when you have more than enough of it you couldn’t be happier. GO MOM!® was founded on the concept of the GO MOM!® Planner and today, our #DIY planner in its downloadable PDF format is as streamlined and time focused as it can be. Let me show you how!
This is my personal GO MOM!® DIY Planner. You can see I have my cover sheet right inside this clear view binder in a fabulous pink. We use an 8 1/2 x 11 format. And I am addicted to slash pocket tabbed folders that I can label for every month. The most important tool in mapping your to-do list is our Organized Week Worksheet.
As simple as To Do, To Call, To Buy, To Organize, this worksheet is how you break down what’s on your mind to see how you will actually get it all done. This is designed to cover your entire week. giving you more than enough space when things are busier than they should be. And lets face it, the truth is most of us clock through these lists pretty quickly because there’s always so much to do!
The calendar features are designed to work together for you. First you’ll see the Monthly Calendar with dates and holidays ~ so key!
And then you’ll find the Undated Weekly Calendar. This is where the time management rubber meets the road.
It has a few extras I love ~ the DO NOW column can helps you filter out what tasks you want to keep front and center and the organized meals reminds everyone what’s for dinner that day. If you use some of our resources found in the FREE Printables and Planner Bundles for sale, this design element will come in very handy.
The Organized Week Worksheet is my life saver for managing my list. You’ll notice I have it hole punched on 2 sides. That enables me to set it on either side of the rings so its visible all week long. And I can’t tell you how helpful the simple process of using the four categories is towards making my weeks as efficient as possible. I can block phone time for all those To Calls, errands time for all those To Buys, and task time for all those To Dos and To Organize items. Time blocking is where your scheduling success lies.
A few more secrets to making our GO MOM!® DIY Planner work for you ~ make sure when you print out your GO MOM!® DIY Planner that you choose 2 sided. Remember its an undated format so you can start on any side you prefer. But the best part about this simple step is when you turn the page, its just like any other planner, 2 sided and ready to roll.
You’ll see I use a series of paper clips and binder clips to keep my pages open to where I want them to be. Just a personal choice that works for me, you might find the same to be helpful for you. I never want to see more pages than I need to focus on for the task at hand and that has always been a trick I’ve used no matter what GO MOM!® format I’m working in.
