How to Spring Clean Your Kitchen | gomominc.com

Welcome to March GO MOM!® Organizing Tips Series ~  you had to know it would be all about the Spring Clean!  Ω Today we are talking about the kitchen. Remember when we talked about how important it is to live like you are moving? When it comes to the kitchen, if you are looking at a house that someone else has lived in, you are going to have an eagle eye to make sure that its incredibly clean and can hold all of your things. So here are my tips for how to spring clean your kitchen.

Remove Rarely Used Items

Empty the cabinets of eveyrthing that you don’t need often. When it comes to seasonal entertaining, you can easily rotate those items in and out of storage all year long. But remember if you haven’t used it in a year or pass it over for a special holiday celebration, unless it has some serious sentimental value, you can probably get rid of it.

Deep Clean Cabinets

Block time to clean them both inside and out but really its the surfaces that you want to shine and sparkle. These are all the products that I make sure to get out for our kitchen spring clean. If you have wood cabinets make sure that you use a cleaner with an oil that will revive them and scrape off any of that hidden mess that seems to hide so easily on darker cabinets.

Shine Floors and Baseboards

We live in our house with a dog and kids and our wood floors are definitely not perfect. But when you put a fresh shine on them it makes all the difference on making the house feel like its clean and ready to go for the next season to come. While you are down there make sure to also go after cleaning the base boards with an old fashioned vinegar cleaning solution ~ it really does tackle baseboards masterfully.

Spring Clean Inside Out

Come back up to waist height and tackle your oven, microwave, and any small kitchen appliances that might be on the counter. Turn them over, open them up, and clean every nook and cranny to keep them working efficiently for you.
