Today we are talking about how to be a smart shopper. With so many items needing to be replaced, taken care of, or simply readily available, Moms find themselves shopping on a regular basis. Whether its food, toiletries, or boring things like putting on new tires, the bottom line is YOU are the consumer out there making that product decision and most often the one who executes the actual purchase. Here are three tips to keep in mind as you aim to be a smart shopper every time you hit the checkout line.
1. Make a List: Identify your needs and make the list. Whether its needing to replace shorts for your kids who seem to have suddenly grown overnight or to simply buy the weekly groceries, your list is your roadmap to success.
2. Check your Budget: Murphy’s Law promises we’ll always have something unexpected that comes up and hopefully you’ll be prepared for that with a little bit of reserve so you can cover that expense. But if something happens where you don’t have that money allocated, you’ll have to look and see how you can move things around to make the purchase. So always check your budget before you make your purchase.
3. Do your Research: Its all about finding out where you can get the best deal for the product that most clearly meets your needs. You are going to want to keep in mind quality, cost and overall longevity so that you end up purchasing the just right solution that will truly meet your needs.
This weekend I’m thrilled to be presenting at the Reviewer’s Retreat Conference and thanks to my partnership with ATT, I’ll be sharing information about how to create a great video review. I know when I’m looking for products I go online to see what other people have to say about them…other Moms just like me. I hope you’ll find these three tips help you as you get out there to make smart shopping choices. Stop by the Reviewer’s Retreat website because you just might discover some new voices out there that will help guide yo along the way no matter what product category you’ll looking to buy in. Please tell me…
