Today we are talking about holiday traditions and Walt Disney World. If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World during the holidays, be sure to check out our Organized Disney Pinterest Board for great suggestions including everything from what to pack to theming your outfits to match favorite princesses…and yes that’s for you not your little girl!  A trip in December can take some critical time out of your already packed schedule for things you might usually do as a holiday tradition with your family.  So here are a few things to keep in mind so that you can make your trip double dip and you keep those traditions alive and well, you just happen to do them in a different place.

The Annual Ornament

Perhaps you have an annual ornament collection that you are building on with your children year after year.  Well Downtown Disney has the most amazing Christmas store and surely every other point on the property will have a great selection of Christmas ornaments at this time of year.  This will let you add as this year’s truly special ornament ~ you can personalize it with the year and your child’s name too.  We love the Christmas Store no matter what time of year we go.

The Holiday Picture Frame

I have a holiday picture collection and every year with the new picture we also get a new frame. Some of them have the year, some of them don’t.  If you grab that annual picture frame while you are at Walt Disney World and get it personalized too.

The Signature Gift

If you have a collection of people that you have decided belong in that signature gift category like your neighbors, family, or teachers, you can secure that gift while you are on property.  Pick something special that you find there, buy it in mass, and simply ship it home ~ done!

Visiting Santa

He’s in Downtown Disney and he’s been known to be seen in Epcot Center.  I can’t think of a more magical place to visit and to talk with Santa himself then when you are on that special once in a lifetime holiday trip to Walt Disney World.

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World during the holiday season, these are four holiday family traditions that you might find are well executed during your trip.  You won’t forget to take cre of them if you go ahead and plan for them. You’ll get them done and it will actually help your schedule free up a bit before and after your trip.  Because traveling during the holidays is surely some crazy business!  You need to give yourself as much time as possible so why not go ahead and make time for those holiday traditions during your trip.  They will by far be some of the most magical holiday memories you will ever make with your family. Tell me…

Have you ever traveled to Disney during the holidays?

If so what kinds of traditions do you incorporate into that trip?

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ as always we are so glad to see you!  Happy Holidays!

What a great video Molly! Though we have never been to WDW during the holiday season. We look forward to doing so in the future! We have plenty of similar traditions that our family does every year at Disneyland. Thanks for the helpful tips!
