One of my favorite events during BlogHer 2012 had to a very special evening hosted by MomTrends and The Children’s Place to preview the Holiday 2012 collection. Full of the most fashionable yet age appropriate Christmas styles I’ve seen in years, it reminded my why The Children’s Place is a brand worthy of the nod as our fashionista daughter continues to define her own sense of style.

Mom Trends Founder Nicole Felciano outdid her fashionable self, making sure to create an beautiful backdrop at the Bryant Park Hotel and setting the mood for a fashion forward night.

At the end of the evening I was very fortunate to grab just a few minutes with Michael, the head of design for The Children’s Place and we chatted about trends for little girls. Take a minute to watch and hear what he had to say….

Three Great Holiday Trends for Girls:

1.  Jeggings: Shine, Leporard, Color, Sequins and Sparkle. Sequins are number one.

2.  Leopoard: Leopard for Chubby, Accessories, Cardigans, Vest. Animal prints can be a bit too edgy

3.  Sparkle and Shine: Rhinestones, Sequins, its everywhere. Take a wool coat and cover it in sparkles and its very tastefully done.

Its a great theme that will never get old. The color and sparkle is in our DNA and when it comes to little girls, you simply can’t go wrong!  Tell me…

I love the look of Girls Wool Coats, but I prefer the selection at Burlington Coat Factory. I got my Emma an adorable coat for the winter that she loves. I ended up saving about $40 on it and Emma wants to wear it all the time.
