Fun Family Activities for Christmas Break ~ Museums
Halfway through Christmas Break and its time to make sure your family is having fun! First shared a few years ago this series is true blue ~ you CAN find fun family activities in your hometown to make that week between Christmas and New Year’s full of fun. For 2012, Day 3 is all about seeing friends with a field trip too. We are tempted to visit the Titanic Exhibit and then surprising the kids with a visit to AT&T’s Raleigh Winterefest Ice Skating Rink tonight. No matter how you look at it, our week has been blessed!
Today we are at the North Carolina Museum of Art and you’ll notice I’m standing outside. When we thought about things we could do this week of course we wanted to cover physical activities, seeing friends, and making the most of any gift cards we have, we also want to do things that are artistic and intellectual. So todays adventure involves art and outdoor art too! You can see all these wonderful sculptures behind me and the kids are having a fantastic time. Yes we get some outside time and exercise ~ you can see that I’m bundled up. The most important thing about cold weather is simply having the right gear because there’s no reason why you can’t get outside no matter what the temperature. So get out and enjoy not only the North Carolina Museum of Art but plan for time to check out its fabulous park too!
