The older I get, the more fall fashion trends minded I become. Actually the more any season fashion trend I become because I have found that as I’ve worked through each stage of motherhood, my fashion (or lack there of) has taken on a new stage too. Last month I was delighted to attend Blogher 2012 and as I prepared my wardrobe, thanks to the sage advice of fashion dynasty Liz Lange, I took the plunge and finally did it. I wore dresses!!! Understand this is SO outside my comfort zone, so totally NOT my first thought. I’m a cute shirt, lots of sparkle, fun pants, and some kick shoes kind of girl, not dresses.
I was delighted to be invited to MomTrends Back to School with Land’s End event. Hosted by the ever classy and oh so fashion savvy Nicole Feliciano, it was a perfect way to end my BlogHer week, spending Saturday night with colleagues I love and a brand I trust. My daughter had been pouring over the Kids Back to School catalog, especially the monogram backpacks, for weeks and I couldn’t wait to experience their latest products first hand. A long time fan of Land’s End for Kids, I was all in and excited to see the science behind the awesome. What took me totally by surprise was discovering how this night was not just about kids. The penthouse was full of amazing fashion forward Fall trends just for Moms! From gorgeous dresses to amazing boots and classic accessories, the room was full of options I could see myself wearing.
So as you might expect, I couldn’t help but ask Why? Why the focus on such trendy and fashionable items for Moms when we are so used to seeking Land’s End most often for our kids? Check out my interview with Michelle to find out exactly that….
So there you have it ~ Land’s End truly has your back when it comes to fashion every Mom can fall in love with that will last and make you look good too. I have to give a shout out to the Penthouse for including a cute chef too ~ not only is Sam Talbot easy on the eyes, his cookbook full of delicious recipes will revolutionize your children’s lunch boxes so they are not only fashionable but full of healthy foods too!
Tell me…
Where do you turn for Fall fashion trends that are Mom friendly?
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ we’ll see you next time!
Disclosure: Special thanks to MomTrends, Nicole, and Land’s End for inviting me to attend Land’s End University. It was an exceptional event, creative from every vantage point, and a great hand’s on experience with a variety of their products. I was not asked to post about this event at any time and my opinions are entirely my own.
