#DIY Hall Coat Closet Demolition

Today I’m sharing the second update for our Funky Spaces #DIY Hall Coat Closet series with EasyClosets.com. This time its all about our huge but ill designed hall coat closet and what kind of demolition we’ll be up to to make it product installation ready. Check it out!

I am sitting inside my big walk in closet that is right off our home’s foyer and while its seems like it would be lovely, it’s completely funky because of this huge bump I’m sitting on. You can see we’ve emptied the space entirely of its contents including all that memorabilia, ahem.

And we’ve taken out the temporary hanging bar which held our coats. But now we need to take out the big shelf above my head and the wall supports that it rests on. By doing this we can then work as much as we want using EasyClosets.com product in the space that’s both above and behind me. We also have some fabulous product to go on the left front wall. Bascially this room will become an entirely clean slate which is fantastic from a project standpoint, allowing us to dow whatever we want witting the confines of the room. But as in all #DIY projects, we’ll have some prep work to do to rip out what’s in our way, mud over the plaster where its will be damaged, and then we’ll surely have to paint.

Once we get those things done, our foundation will be set for the most organized hall closet I could hope for.  Make sure to come back to tomorrow to see the finished product ~you’re going to love it I’m sure!   If an organized home really is all you want for Christmas, make sure to stop by EasyClosets.com for their 25% off end of the year holiday sale.  It ends December 10th so get on over there and check it out.  If you are looking for hall closet design inspiration, check out our Entryway Organizing Tips Pinterest Board for some of my favorite finds.  And check out our Entryway Drop Zone series to see how awesome that space turned out to be too.  As I’ve said before, with a little advance planning, these projects are so totally doable in a weekend once you have them in hand. You’ll be amazed at how efficient the EasyClosets.com process is and I promise you will love the outcome! Thanks so much for stopping by ~ we’ll see you next time!

Oooh a clean slate! Always the best way to start a project. Cannot WAIT to see what you do with it.
