When is the last time you took a good look at your skin care routine?  We are mixing it up with our April edition of GO MOM!® Organizing Tips featuring beauty tips and short cuts. Why? Because with the change of seasons, its time to mix up your routine for the Spring and Summer and honestly, if you are going to live like you are moving, when someone else opens up those bathroom cabinets and drawers it can be one of the scariest places in your house! You truly want someone to see only the bare minimum inside, giving the impression that the space is wide open. So when it comes to making sure you have only the bare minimum in products, you need to know what kind of systems are out there to save you time and do the best job possible. Check out my beauty tips for skin care short cuts below:

Use a Daily Skin Care System

When it comes to skin care you need a daily system. Its really this simple ~ a facial cleanser, a wrinkle cream for your entire face, and then something special dedicated to the delicate skin underneath your eyes. I’m a minimalist so I love this ~ wash, cream, eyes, done!

Use a Daily Moisturizer with Sunscreen

Look at the skin on the rest of your body. Our skin is the largest organ on our body and it deserves our daily attention. Of course you need to drink water and know that your skin always need that added protection. Make this simple by getting it in your daily lotion. Have something different for your body and your face because they have different needs. Also, chose a lotion that your skin will soak in and be able to handle the summer weather you experience. Its hot and humid in North Carolina so I need a lotion that won’t be a problem if I sweat in the summer heat.

Check Sunscreen Expiration Dates

We use it by the can almost daily it seems as I am raising 3 summer athletes and we are outside constantly. That’s why we need a sunscreen that can truly handle the sweat, water, and the heat. But the most important thing about effective sunscreen starts with making sure its not expired. Especially during these early warm days of Spring, its easy to forget to cover up before you spend the day having fun.

Use a Bronzing Lotion that Firms

Every girl needs a little secret beauty agent in her cabinet and for me its all about that natural glow. Its hard to wait for that sun to give us a hint of summer color. I’ve used this product for years and that it also provides firming just proves there’s always a time and a place for the double dip and this is one of them.

So limit yourself to a few favorite products that truly work for you and you’ll be amazed at how great they make you feel while keeping your shelves wide open and clutter free. I hope you’ve enjoyed these beauty tips for skin care short cuts and I’d love to know…

Definitely second the sunscreen recommendation. A physical block is better than a chemical one but do wear sunscreen, ladies! 🙂
